🕕 Early departure: We’ll leave Cusco between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. from Plaza Regocijo.
🚐 The drive to Hidroelectrica lasts around 7 hours. We’ll stop for 15 minutes in Ollantaytambo to rest and pick up passengers.
🌄 Along the way, you’ll enjoy changing landscapes with valleys, mountains, and jungle views.
🚶♂️ Hike to Aguas Calientes: From Hidroelectrica, we’ll begin an 11 km hike that takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
🌿 The trail is mostly flat, with just 10 minutes of ascent, offering a scenic and relaxed walk.
🏨 Accommodation and dinner: Once in Aguas Calientes, we’ll check into double or matrimonial rooms.
🏕️ Single rooms are available for an extra fee.
🍽️ Dinner will include a traditional local dish, perfect to end the day with regional flavor.
🌄 Ascent to Machu Picchu: We’ll begin at 4:30 a.m. with a 1.5-hour hike to the citadel.

🏛️ Guided tour: You’ll enjoy a 2-hour group tour of the archaeological site.
📖 We’ll explore agricultural, residential, and religious sectors, while learning about Inca history.
🚶♂️ Return to Hidroelectrica: After the tour, we’ll walk back to Hidroelectrica.
🚌 Then, we’ll board the transport to Cusco at 2:00 p.m.
🕘 Arrival is expected between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m., ending your 2-day Machu Picchu by car adventure.
