Maras & Moray full day tour is a prfect option for those who love nature and are interested in Inca history. The salt fields of Maras and ancient plains of Moray are unique places that have no comparison in South America.
Maras is a unique town in the heart of the Andean mountains. For almost 500 years the main income of the town has been a unique harvesting of salt. They have unique white salt fields contrasting with the green mountains. The ability to have the fields is thanks to salty mineral water that comes at this place from the mountains.
A few kilometers from Maras is Moray, a very unique archaeological site in the region.
Moray are unique ruins arranged in circles looking almost supernaturally. Due to unique soil and favorable temperadure the place is very suitable for growing crops. Since the time of the Incas Moray has been the center of domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of wild vegetable species that were modified or adapted for human consumption.
