ITINERARY Choquequirao Trek 4 Days

DÍA 1: CUSCO – CACHORA – CHIKISKA – SANTA ROSA

🚐 Salimos temprano a las 3:30 a.m. desde tu alojamiento en Cusco. Después de un trayecto en vehículo de 3.5 horas, llegamos a Capuliyoc para desayunar con vistas del Cañón del Apurímac.

🥾 Iniciamos la caminata descendiendo durante 4 horas por un sendero cálido hasta Chikiska, donde haremos una breve pausa para hidratarte y relajarte.

🌉 Continuamos descendiendo durante una hora más hasta cruzar el río Apurímac. Desde ahí, subimos por un tramo exigente de 3 horas hasta llegar a Santa Rosa.

🌙 Cenamos y descansamos en una casa local, listos para el gran día que se avecina.

DAY 2: SANTA ROSA – MARAMPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO – MARAMPATA

🌄 We start with a 2.5-hour uphill hike to Marampata. Here, we enjoy breakfast with snowy mountain views.

🏛️ We hike 1.5 more hours to reach Choquequirao, a hidden archaeological gem. We’ll explore its terraces, temples, and areas still covered by vegetation.

🌅 After the visit, we return to Marampata for dinner and overnight rest.

DAY 3: MARAMPATA – SANTA ROSA – CHIKISKA

🌅 After breakfast, we begin a 3-hour descent to the Apurímac River, with stunning views along the way.

🌿 We cross the bridge and hike uphill to Chikiska, a beautiful campsite surrounded by nature.

⛺ We camp here and enjoy a tasty dinner while listening to the sound of the river at dusk.

DAY 4: CHIKISKA – CAPULIYOC – CUSCO

🌤️ We start the day with a relaxed breakfast. Afterward, we hike uphill for 4 hours to reach Capuliyoc.

🌄 We enjoy final views of the valley before having lunch.

🚐 Finally, we return to Cusco in our private transport, arriving around 5:00 p.m.
